I help people quieten anxious brains, because I've lived with one.
warm, down to earth, allergic to therapy-speak 🤍Clinical hypnotherapist. Here's my story.
The bit most therapists don't tell you
I know what it's like when your brain won't give you a minute's peace. The overthinking. The way you can talk yourself out of something you were looking forward to. I've put my own life on hold waiting to feel ready, to feel confident, to feel like a different version of myself.
Last year I nearly didn't get on a plane for a girls' holiday because of how I felt about my body. After a thyroid diagnosis my weight had crept up, none of my holiday clothes felt right, and my brain gave me every reason to stay home. The tools I now teach my clients are the reason I went. I laughed a lot, relaxed properly and came home with memories I nearly didn't let myself make.
"Confidence doesn't always come before you do something. Sometimes confidence grows because you do it."
That's why I do this job. From experience, rather than a textbook.
I still have hypnotherapy myself
People are sometimes surprised when I say I have hypnotherapy sessions of my own. But helping others doesn't make you immune to stress, overwhelm or difficult seasons in life. We're human too.
My own sessions give me space to reset, regulate and keep growing, personally and professionally. I would never expect my clients to pour from an empty cup, so why would I expect it from myself? The best therapists keep doing the inner work too.

When I'm not in the therapy room
You'll find me walking Saffy, the real boss of this practice, or out on the coast with a flask. Clients regularly mention her in their Google reviews, and honestly, fair enough! The best part of this job is celebrating wins. Someone getting on a bus by themselves for the first time in three and a half years beats any certificate on my wall.
